Programs
and Services The following programs and services enable the individuals we serve to work and live in the community as independently as possible. Campus Living : Each of the four group homes on the Bello Machre campus offers six individuals a loving & nurturing environment. Each home has a Family Living Director to provide support, guidance, and personal attention. Community Living : Homes in the community where three
or fewer individuals live. Family Living : An adult no longer needing intensive guidance lives with a carefully selected individual or family in an apartment or house. This setting provides adults with developmental disabilities with a high level of independence to further develop their life skills. Family and Individual Support Services Program : This program provides direct support to individuals and families in their own residence. Trained and caring staff is available to assist individuals so that they remain in their own home and community. This service varies greatly based on the particular needs of the individuals and their families. Respite Care Program : This service offers families and individuals residential support during family hospitalizations, emergencies, vacations, or simply as a get-away for the individuals or their families. Respite care assists individuals and families in maintaining community placement. A highly trained, caring staff can provide respite care in the Bello Machre Respite Care Home or in the individual's own home. These important services are supported in part by the generosity of The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation.
For more information about services offered to individuals contact the Developmental Disabilities Administration of Maryland. Bello Machre serves children and adults with developmental
disabilities without regard to race, religion, gender, or national origin.
