Donate GIVE
A GIFT TODAY! Open your heart and make a difference in the lives of hundreds of children and adults with developmental disabilities. You can make a difference in someone’s life by making a donation to Bello Machre. Not a day goes by without us receiving desperate calls for help. We can’t serve everyone, but, with your help, we can stop turning infants, children, teenagers, and seniors away. You can create a living tribute to someone dear to you;
honor a friend, relative, or associate; and help individuals with developmental
disabilities when you give a gift to Bello Machre. A Memorial, Honor,
or Perpetual Donation is a living gift because it will continue to touch
the lives of those served by Bello Machre for years to come. Gift Acknowledgements
are sent immediately with a personal, loving letter.
Friends and family are notified as directed. Memorial Gift: A donation to Bello Machre in memory of a loved family member or cherished friend. The memorial gift may be a remembrance of the anniversary of a loved one’s death, Memorial Day, or birthday of the deceased. Perpetual Tribute: A memorial or honor gift of $1,000 or more is sufficient to establish an endowed fund. Interest provided by the fund is used in the work at Bello Machre and perpetually pays tribute to a loved one. It continues to provide assistance to children and adults with developmental disabilities, both now and for generations to come. Honor Gift: A donation made to Bello Machre honoring friends or loved ones on their birthdays, anniversaries, marriages, graduations, promotions, or any special occasions. It is also the perfect remembrance for the person who has everything. One-time Financial Contribution: Helps us purchase school supplies, clothes, and groceries. Helps us with operating funds for our Respite House, which offers relief and support when families face hospitalizations, emergencies, or other challenging times. It also helps us purchase specialized vans with wheelchair lifts. In-Kind Donations: Such as cars, boats, computer equipment, and airline miles help in a variety of ways. Large items such as cars and boats that we can sell, help us the same way a financial contribution would. Computer equipment is distributed to our homes. Airline miles can make dreams come true and help take the children and adults we serve on perhaps their first and only visit to Disney World. Volunteering: Your time and talent make a huge difference in the lives of the individuals who depend on Bello Machre. Whether it is simply taking an individual shopping at the mall, bowling, or for a walk in the park—the reward of a smile makes all the difference! Perhaps your talent is a green thumb, expert handyman, or culinary wizard... Bello Machre always has a place in our homes for people with big hearts. There are many other volunteering opportunities at our annual events. Heritage Society: A unique opportunity to give by including Bello Machre in your will and estate plans. Our friends who remember us in their estate plans truly build the foundation for the future of children and adults with developmental disabilities. With your help, the outstanding services we offer them will continue for generations to come. Please call our Executive Director, Dr. Robert T. Ireland at 410-255-3805, today with questions or requests or e-mail him at heritagesociety@bellomachre.org Charitable Remainder Annuity: This life income agreement combines a charitable gift with an investment. By making an irrevocable gift in excess of $5,000, the donor receives a fixed dollar amount for the remainder of his/her life. The return on the investment ranges from 5.7% at 60 years of age to more than 8.0% for those over the age of 80. This is a wonderful way to have a fixed income while making a difference in the lives of people with developmental disabilities. Bello Machre is approved by the Maryland Insurance Commission to issue Charitable Remainder Annuities. |
